The Community

A dedication to our Educators and First Responders

A message from our Artistic Director:

As the producer and director of this show, it was very important to me that we show support to those who have been asked to do so much with so little resources.  I've met with and spoken to people dealing with the Corona Virus as health professionals, but I've also spoken to (and dealt with) those who have suffered from this pandemic first-hand. I've also spoken to many educators who are being forced into such precarious situations with little to no guidance on how to teach a classroom of twenty-five fifth graders on a Zoom conference call.

I can honestly say that although I don't know where we're going as a community, what I DO know is that we can head into the uncertainty the future brings TOGETHER!  There is so much more that we can accomplish as a whole than what can be done separated as individuals. Kwanzaa has always been a time to remember who we are collectively

It is with that spirit of community, unity and healing that we present this production to you all.  Let us close and complete this challenging year together, showing our love, peace and unity through the multifaceted and diverse aspects of dance in the African Diaspora!

Peace and love to you all.

Regards,

Kevin McEwen

Producer and Director
